Our staff & volunteers
- VAMS Multicultural Services comprises residents of the State of Victoria from multicultural backgrounds. VAMS welcomes everyone, regardless of socio-economic status, in Victoria. VAMS believes everyone is a part of the community, so everyone's involvement is required to make Victoria a state for all.
Our history
- VAMS Multicultural Services has a history of working with migrants, Aboriginals, refugees, and residents of Victoria since 2019 as a means of assisting those impacted by Covid 19 pandemic in the following services: Free Lawn Mowing for the Elderly and People living with disabilities, Co-Op Grocery Store, Covid 19 Returnee Settlement Services, International Students volunteering as a pathway for employment.
Our mission
To assist the Elderly and People living with disabilities to create a sense of belongingness to a society that they helped to build and to eradicate the feeling that society has abandoned them;
To provide discount groceries to families impacted by Covid 19 Pandemic inflation to prevent domestic violence in the Culturally and Linguistic and Diverse communities (CALD) in Victoria;
To provide employment pathways for International Students by giving them volunteering opportunities in Victoria;
To assist migrant and refugee students from non-English speaking backgrounds in reducing the level of school drop-off as a result of not being able to meet assessment due to the lack of the minimum required English proficiency background.
To support Covid 19 Returnees from Overseas who are experiencing financial hardship caused by the Covid 19 Pandemic to reduce Covid 19's Returnees' stress levels and socio-economic impacts that have the propensity to fuel domestic violence.
